Tom Griesel, at the age of 58, Tom’s biological markers indicate that he is in comparable shape to that of an average healthy 18-year-old. His lifelong interest in fitness, which began with a quest to reach his own peak condition, led Tom to devour hundreds of books and personally test out virtually every new diet on the market.
Over 30 years of study and practice, none of them delivered on the health and fitness promises they claimed. However, those years of diligent trial-and-error experimentation did allow him to discover a number of health and fitness best practices. In putting all of these together, he developed a plan for healthy living that allowed him to both lose and keep off excess body fat. He was also able to maintain a fitness level high enough to compete in a variety of running and biking events as well as several triathlons. His lifelong education in health, wellness, and longevity developed into a passion for sharing what he has learned so that others can likewise reach their highest level of health and wellness.
Tom’s new mandate follows on the heels of a successful 35-year-long career in the business world. In 1996, he moved to the California Bay Area with Janet, his wife of 30 years, where he co-founded Reedland Capital Partners, a boutique investment banking firm. During his tenure he was responsible for over 2 billion dollars of growth capital investments in U.S. public companies. In 2010, as part of his newfound interest in helping others live healthier, more fulfilling lives, Tom co-founded the Business School of Happiness with his sister Dian. The new venture serves as a “happiness and success” incubator and as a publishing arm for books related to happiness, success, health, wellness, fat-loss and fitness.
With the publication of TurboCharged, Tom has found an ideal way to share what he has learned about eating, staying active, staying positive and living to the fullest—enjoying what he calls the “adventure of a lifetime” every day.
Today Tom spends his time with his wife Janet in Arizona, California and Connecticut.
