UPDATE!! Heather Rains, Lost over 70 lbs and Counting!
UPDATE!! After reading your book on October 22, 2012, I knew this was something I could finally do. And I've done it!! To give you a little background on me, I am 37, 5'6, and weighed 222 pounds. As of today I have gone from a BMI of 35.8 to 24.1 and have lost 72.5 pounds. I still have about 10 pounds to lose, but I am so close now. I just recently got hired for a new job I will start on May 1st. I went shopping today for new clothes and am down from a size 22 to a size 12...a size I never thought I would see again. I feel AMAZING!! For me this has been a complete lifestyle change, not a diet. Thank you for writing this book and helping me find my way to health!!
THIS WAS HEATHER'S FIRST POST TO US: Two months ago today I read the book, in just one day. And tomorrow will make two months ago that I started on my journey to a healthier me. In these two short months I have gone from a BMI of 35.8 to 29. AND, I have lost 42 pounds. While the weight loss has been nice, the changes in my life are simply AMAZING!! I sleep better, I feel better, and I have energy I never had before!! I still have quite a ways to go, but this is the first time in my life that I have achieved such success!! I retired in June 2011 at the ripe old age of 54. I had worked for 35 years at a very stressful combination of a desk job. I had put on 16 lbs. over the last couple of years.
I went for my physical in November 2011 and was shocked and dismayed to learn I had gained 7 lbs. over the summer! Now I was up 23 lbs. in just 2 years! Devastated, I asked my doctor to check my thyroid, certain that something was wrong. Worse, when I received the blood test results from him via email it showed all my blood work was normal! My doctor just brushed me off and told me to try Weight Watchers. Highly offended, since I had been dieting and working hard all summer I sought another doctor. I found another doctor who did additional thyroid tests, but nothing, all was normal. However, she agreed to put me on diet pills for a month and told me to eat 800 calories a day. I did this for a month and lost a measly 3 lbs. But, I had quit exercising. I had lost heart.
In desperation searching the Internet on New Year’s Day 2012, I found your book, purchased it immediately, and read it cover to cover. January 2, 2012 was the first day of the rest of my life. I shopped and bought broccoli, celery, radishes, fresh green beans, tomatoes and zucchini. I bought apples and cantaloupe and grapes. I began walking 3 times a day for 20 minutes at a time. My daughter had given me an iPod for Christmas and I downloaded some fast beat music to it. I used the iPod to help me keep up my pace up while walking. I dragged the weights out and began working out for a couple of minutes every hour. And I ate! Do you know how refreshing it was to eat fruits and vegetables after following Atkins for 9 years? It was wonderful and my taste buds exploded!
On December 8, 2011 I weighed in at a hefty 134.8 lbs and 31% body fat. I am only 5’ 3”. Today, February 26, 2012 I weighed in at 115.8 lbs. I have lost 3 inches off my waist and 2 inches off my thighs!! The calculator on your website says 22% body fat! I am going for 15%. I expect to be there by the 1st of March this year. With the incredible results I have had in just 1 month I know I can do it. Not sure what my final weight that will be, but I am guessing 111 -112 lbs.
So, it works!!! Your Turbocharged Super Highway method worked for me when nothing else did! It is so easy! I could not be happier! I feel great! I am never hungry and I am Super Highway Turbocharged! When people ask me why I am looking and feeling so good, I tell them about TurboCharged and encourage them to buy the book. The usual response is, “Is it worth it?” I quickly say, "Worth every cent and then some!"
TurboCharged is easy to read and understand with logical explanations about how the human body works. It really sparked my interest and provided plenty of references so I could read more if I wanted about the supporting science. I’ve been on the plan for 5 months and I continue to reread certain parts to reinforce my new lifestyle. I particularly like going back to Step 1, since it reminds me that I don’t need to accept traditional nutrition theories like the idea that we need grains in our diets and that there are such things as “healthy” processed foods. These faulty recommendations bombard us--everywhere from commercials to professional advice--so it’s important to reread the book as a reminder of what really works. The Steps are really so easy to remember and follow: hydrate, mono-meals, mini-workouts, walk and imagine (and see!) your goals realized.
About those mono-meals: It's really no secret that I love good food and I love to cook. I was worried about the mono-meals being boring and bland. That hasn’t been my experience at all! I have discovered that it’s easy to enjoy basic foods on an ongoing basis, and I have found a whole new world of creativity in making some of my favorite meals without pre-processed foods, without grains and without sugar. The feedback from family and friends who have enjoyed my new creations has been along the lines of, “WOW! This is fantastic! You really made this without flour/sugar, etc?”
As I said, I decided to try the TurboCharged lifestyle five months ago. Within three months, I reached my goal: to improve on the way my body looks. Today, simply by following the easy steps, my muscle tone continues to develop and I continue to become leaner. Also, my health has improved. When I came down with a dreadful winter cold, I recovered so much faster than my colleagues who were also plagued. I went for a check up with my doctor three months ago and the results were great! I am actually looking forward seeing how my numbers continue to improve after a year of TurboCharging. I am guessing they will still be positively off the charts and AWESOME!

My sister and I are TurboCharging together. We are now on cycle 7 and we are doing great. When we started in early May my sister could only manage to walk 15 minutes a day. She had a knee problem. In the book you suggested using walking poles/sticks. This has helped my sister so much. She is now walking the full 60 minutes and has even added a backpack with weight. She is also able to do many different one mini muscle exercises. So not only are those poles helping us burn more calories but have given her the support she needs in her back and knees. We love being active! TurboCharging is the best!
Kimberly Accomando, Loses 20 lbs and 15% Body Fat!
Hey guys. I just wanted to share. I started 80 days ago at 140 pounds and 39% body fat. Today I weighed in at 120.4 and 24% body fat. (and according to the body fat a calculator on your website "My weight is normal" yay me!) Although 120 was my original goal weight, I'm shooting for 116 now...just because I see that I can. I am a huge skeptic and very cynical about diets. That said, I have been living Turbocharged since late November. I dropped from a starting weight of 196 pounds to 180 pounds in 10 days. Needless to say, this both shocked and inspired me! I wasn’t starving myself and really wasn’t doing any heavy aerobic exercise. I’ve since gone down another 10 pounds and now weigh in at a healthy 172 pounds with only 13.5% of body fat. I am maintaining and will maintain this weight with confidence.
For me, the greatest thing about getting TurboCharged is that I have actually started to like and enjoy healthy natural foods, lean meats, and the best part...cheese! I feel like my energy levels are through the roof and amazingly my taste buds have reawakened. Staying TurboCharged has been easy. After reaching my initial goal, I have maintained it by sticking with what the book calls Cruise Control eating. I eat plenty, but skip the wheat, flour, grains, rice, heavily processed foods and refined sugar. Oh, and I don't forget to stay active and drink tons of water. These are keys to having a healthy life. My suggestion is to read the book. This is NOT a DIET. TurboCharged is a lifestyle choice. It is now my lifestyle choice. It was very cool that my wife took the challenge to do this and encouraged me to do it too. It has led us both to a healthier way of living!

The reason for my glowing review of this book and 5 Star rating is simple and to the point. This book has been a revelation, and more importantly, it works. I have had lifelong issues with weight and other health issues. I read not only about diets but also medical journals trying to find out why my combination of health issues has made it so difficult to lose weight. Only now has it been made clear that it is easy for the best plans to be sidetracked by little things like eating food in the wrong combination or exercising too vigorously. I read about TurboCharged in an article by Doni Luckett of the Denver Post on December 30th of 2011. What she wrote intrigued me enough to go to the TurboCharged website and learn enough to contact the authors and buy the book. It has only been two weeks since first reading about the book and I have dropped nearly 20 lbs while maintaining muscle mass. I feel better than I have in 15 years. My weight loss would certainly not be considered typical because there is a lot to lose. What is most important is how I feel and my overall health, which seems to be getting better each day. My thanks to Tom Griesel for being so helpful and prompt in answering all my questions and providing artwork for the article. And thanks also to both Tom and his sister Dian for taking so much of the best information out there on health and fat loss and putting it into such an easy to read format in TurboCharged.

Straight to the point, the program has helped me lose 36 pounds in 5 weeks! And one thing is certain, this five week test drive of the TurboCharged program has convinced me that this is the way to eat for the rest of my life. Need more influence than just the 36 pounds? How about this: My blood pressure has dropped by more than 20 points in both the systolic and diastolic fields. After years of medication to control my blood pressure, I am now effectively controlling it with my food choices. The book warned me that my blood pressure would drop due to the program, so I have been monitoring it every day and keeping in touch with my doctor to make sure that I am not taking un-needed medication. Scott Savin, An Amateur Cyclist and Exceptional Athlete Gets TurboCharged!
Scott Savin, 51, is an elite amateur cyclist with the self-discipline and focus that allow him to push his mind and body to perform in ways that few non-professional cyclists can match. He rides under extreme conditions and extreme temperatures with as much as a 20-below-zero wind chill factor.
By day he’s a consultant in the real estate business. As a cyclist he rides up to 15,000 miles and has climbed as much as 850,000 vertical feet in a year. He’s been riding for over 32 years and jokes, “I have more than 600,000 miles on my legs.” (Don’t we wish our cars could do that!)
In July 2009, Scott carried 188 pounds on his six-foot frame, with body fat of 21%, too much weight and body fat for a cyclist of his caliber.
“Even with all of my extensive training and grueling competitive races, my weight never dipped below 181 pounds and my body fat held in the 21% range,” says Scott. Tom explained to Scott how TurboCharged worked, and gave him the program outline. “If you faithfully follow the program for just three weeks, you will unquestionably reach what you now think are impossible goals,” Tom promised.
Scott admits that he was skeptical. “Another yada-yada diet,” he thought. “However, in three weeks my total weight was down to 168 pounds with 12% body fat. My waist is now 32", a full five inches smaller than it was three weeks before. Unreal!”
Best of all, Scott has kept his excess fat off. “And what’s even more exciting,” he says, “I never lost any strength as I lost body fat, and my cycling times have actually improved by 15 percent.”

Dave Curtis, age 56, is a busy CFO of a high-technology company. At 5'10", his average adult weight was 186.5 pounds with 25% body fat. After four months of TurboCharging, he weighed 161.5 pounds with 16% body fat, and now has a 31-inch waistline.

Of course we’ve involved our families in our pursuit of fat reduction and healthy lifestyles. Tom’s sister-in-law, Julia Vogelle, 49, tried TurboCharged around the same time as she began to experience her first symptoms of menopause. Jerry Lewis, Meet One Real TurboCharged Jerry Lewis!
Jerry Lewis, of Tiburon, California, has heard all of the jokes you can imagine about his name. This Jerry Lewis is not the iconic comedian, nor the piano-charging country singer; however, he is a fascinating individual in his own right. A retired CEO from the mortgage benefits industry, he owns and runs a pistachio farm and is thinking of someday writing a book about his favorite nuts.
At age 69, Jerry is an avid mountain biker, kayaker and fly fisherman. He is eager to share how his experience with TurboCharged far exceeded his expectations.
Jerry weighed 192 pounds for most of his adult life. People told him he carried the weight well on his 6' frame, but he wanted to weigh less and reduce his percentage of body fat.
“Nothing worked until I heard about TurboCharged in November 2009. I followed the directions in every way,” says Jerry, “including drinking so much water that I always needed to scope out the nearest bathroom, and I completely gave up the foods I learned were damaging to my success.”

Helene Fisher recently turned 70 according to the calendar. Her Tanita body-fat scale now has her pegged at 56…and getting younger since she began TurboCharging a year ago.
Helene is a self-employed publicist and writer. She leads an extremely active, yet also stress-filled life that includes being caregiver to her chronically ill 80-year-old husband.

All my life I thought my body wanted to be heavy, but I've been turbocharging since April 1 and, even though I still have a short ways to go, my body suddenly is telling me how happy it is and seems to be naturally tending toward getting leaner every week. Well Tommy...I started a month and a half ago and I've gone from 226 to 195 lbs as of today. Need to wear a belt now. Started this was around 28% body fat now down to 18% and still declining. The word on your book is spreading fast.
